This is to inform all schools that registration for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and Common Entrance/Basic-6 Examination has commenced on Monday, February 2024, and ends on Friday, May 17, 2024, in both public and private schools in Kogi State. Later registration will commence on Monday, May 20, 2024, and close on May 27, 2024, attracting a penalty fee of five thousand naira (N500) per candidate. Any correction after uploading will incur a penalty of N2,000 per candidate. All offline/online registration closes on or before May 27, 2024. Registration with less than ten (10) candidates attracts a fee of N10,000 only. All schools are required to obtain their receipts of payments from the Account Department and submit photocopies to the EAC Department for documentation and PIN generation. Furthermore, all schools should note that continuous assessment scores are as follows: JSS 1 (5%), JSS 2 (12.5%), and JSS 3 (12.5%). Private schools are expected to provide evidence of payment for the following levies and fees payable to the Kogi State Government through the Internal Revenue Service for 2023/2024: Registration/Renewal of Registration for Secondary School, Registration/Renewal of Business Premises, Registration/Renewal of Fire Safety Certificate, Water Rate, Documentation/Renewal of Regulated Premises, Environmental Levy, Signage and Mobile Advertisement, Tax Clearance Certificate, Additionally, schools must show evidence of BECE Center Approval Letter.
